There is a huge amount of pressure placed upon women to go on those ridiculous lose weight fast diets. While the media have come a long way in their efforts to help ladies fell better in their own bodies, they still lean heavily toward the side of those celebrity models we see all over the television and magazines. Regardless of what they SAY regarding having a positive self image and feeling comfortable in our own bodies, once you look at the amount of airbrushing that's done on those magazine covers, it is easy to see why lots of girls are making themselves physically ill going on these fad lose weight fast diets.
But have you ever seen some of those photos where one of those stars has been caught in a bikini or she's just recently had a baby? Those slender women on the red carpet are normal women, just like everybody else. They look just like us! They really are human, too.
Sadly for them, there are photographers lurking everywhere, just looking for a chance to catch them at their worst so they can splash it all over the internet. These women are under incredible stress to stay thin and a lot of time, their jobs rely on it, too. And think about those actresses who constantly have to gain weight for one role and then lose it for the next. That constant roller coaster ride does terrible damage to your body.
So they might tell us, in interviews, that they don't really do a thing to keep that slim, trim figure. However in reality, they follow some of the worst lose weight fast diets you can imagine. Instead of drinking one or two safe cups of green tea each day, they'll have ten or twelve which totally ruins their digestive system, causing vomiting, stomach cramps, chronic constipation or diarrhea. And all so they can lose two or three pounds of water weight. Or they completely eliminate everything but carrots and celery from their diet depriving their bodies of the nutrients we all need for survival.
Instead of jogging around the park such as you and I might do, they spend the DAY jogging, or spend five to seven hours in the gym. Every day! Can you imagine?! Or they pay thousands of dollars on cleansing treatments, simply to lose 3 or 4 pounds. Starvation diets with these women are the norm. They live on coffee and cigarettes, or tea and lemons, or nothing but lettuce or grapefruit. Anything in an attempt to either get or stay thin.
So when you see these girls looking beautiful in their evening gowns and bikinis, don't let them fool you. And do not get all depressed wishing that you had a perfect body or figure like they do. They weren't born lucky, and there is nothing wrong with you. They have to work just as hard as you do to lose weight fast and maintain that weight. And sometimes even harder! And often to the detriment of their own health.
