Here are 3 more things you must do every day to lose weight. Always keep in mind that virtually all of us are where we are because of the habits that we have. New habits can be formed and old ones can be broken. Weight loss is nothing mysterious, it's aboutt aquiring certain habits.
Exercise Daily
I know that conventional wisdom says that exercise should be performed 3-4 times a week, but do you really just want to burn calories 3-4 times a week? Wouldn't it be better to burn calories every day? I'm not talking about sweating in a gym for a couple of hours every day. I'm talking about doing different physical activities on a daily basis.
Running around with a ball and your kids in a park is exercise, walking is an exercise, using stairs instead of elevators is exercise, taking the dog for a long walk is exercise, all these burn calories. Jump on an exercise bike while you watch television, do some sit ups and push ups when there is a commercial break. Exercise is not just about spending an hour huffing and puffing, and doing nothing else for the other 23 hours, Just think of more fun ways of burning calories,
Spread Your Calories
Your body (and everybody else's) can only digest and use a certain amount of calories at any given time, anything that isn't released as waste is going to be stored as....yes you've guessed it, the answer is fat. Now traditionally we eat 3 meals a day, and ironically our last meal of the day is normally the largest meal.
How much sense does that make? Not only do we eat a large meal, we also eat it at a time that we are not going to burn any of it off. After a few hours of eating this meal we go to sleep. Your calorie burning is going to be pretty slow during this time, unless you sleepjog, or have lots of nightmares and spend most of the night thrashing your arms and legs about. Give your body meals that it can use effectively.
This means that if you are eating 2000 calories a day, spread them over 5-6 meals instead of 3. Not only will your body store very little fat, it will also speed up your metabolism, and help you lose weight even quicker
Avoid Negative Input From Others
It is in our nature as human beings to have feelings about acceptance from our peers. However many people are often trained from a young age to be negative about a lot of stuff. Many of us tend to naturally think about what is the worst thing that can happen, instead of thinking about the best thing that can happen.
You need to get away from this. People will tell you how hard weight loss is. Your brain will pick up on these thoughts, and if it hears them often enough, it will turn them into a belief. If you believe something it is very difficult to achieve the opposite. You are trying to lose weight but your mind will not believe that you can. This is why you will fail.
Remember that what other people are telling you comes from their beliefs about themselves, and has nothing to do with you. Just because they don't believe that they can do something, doesn't mean that others can't. Create your own thoughts and beliefs, you are not anybody else, you are you. You choose what you will allow into your mind. Tell yourself many times a day that you will succeed, you will finish what you started, if you follow your weight loss plan everyday, you will reach your goals.
Be positive, accept that you will get negative thoughts now and again, but so what. Let these thoughts wander around in your head on their own, if they don't get any attention, they will go away in a huff. If other people have found it difficult to lose weight, well, that's their problem. You can be like them and sit around talking about why you can't lose weight. Or you can be you, an individual with your own goals, thoughts, and beliefs, who takes action on a daily basis in order to lose weight.
