Choose the Right Lose Weight Program - You Dont Have to Lose Money to Lose Weight

With all the lose weight programs out there, which one is best for you? Some people will tell you to go for this one then another person will tell you to go for another one. So let's put it all in perspective so YOU can decide.

First, note how new lose weight books come out regularly. Some espouse strict low calorie dieting. Some call for no carbs to low carbs. Some call for high protein and let you enjoy some fat in your diet!

Go with your instincts. If the book or program makes sense to you and seems to fit your lifestyle, go and try it out. Give it at least two weeks to a months time to get a real feel for how it may work - or not - for you.

Popular diet books often spin-off to paid membership web sites, supplements, and food delivery ventures. If the diet felt good for you during your trial weeks then it could be worth your money to subscribe to these lose weight programs. Just make sure you stick to the books plan for a few weeks before investing that money.

Some programs are based on meetings. In Weight Watchers, for example, you can have a set number of calories (divided into Points) on a daily basis. Weekly meetings are held for weigh-ins, progress assessment and motivation.

If you choose to try out Weight Watchers, go to a minimum of three meetings and choose different times before you settle your final schedule. Look for a meeting leader you like best. Even the mix of people can determine if you will like going regularly. You've got to like it to make the program work for you, right?

Jenny Craig is another good lose weight program, especially if you are always on the go. Busy folks can just microwave their meals. You will need some milk and fresh produce to add to the set meals - but that's it. Everything else comes with the program. A consultant will track how you are doing with a weigh-in every seven days. You have this consultant to answer any other questions you may have, one-on-one.

While Jenny Craig is good it is also pricey. A week's worth of "Jenny Food" can set you back $150. That fresh produce and milk you need get will cost you an extra $30 to $50 at the grocery. But many say it's worth it. The food is supposed to be quite good.

You can save some money by going for Nutrisystem. Food in this lose weight program is shipped to you monthly. Majority of the meals are shelf stable meaning freeze dried. These don't even need refrigeration. They have also recently added frozen food.

Some have been disappointed by Nutrisystem's freeze dried food. But, this is a program that's easier on the pocket compared with Jenny Craig.

With so many other lose weight programs to choose from it can get confusing. You will have to do your research and go through some trial and error. But do your best not to swing from diet to diet.

When you've made the right decision and invested your money on a lose weight program, stick to it. Because you do want to lose that weight as well as make the most of your time, effort and money.
