It is the end of year 2008 and the start of 2009. What is your New Year resolution? Is it that you want to lose some pounds in the new year? During year end, it is perfectly fine for you to make a new year resolution to start losing weight. However, if you want to lose weight successfully, you need to have the motivation and perseverance to do it.
Weight loss is not a puzzle; by eating right and exercising regularly, you can become slim too! The main reason why so many people failed to slim down is because they give up half way. Please, do not follow their footsteps. With some motivation, you can definitely succeed in your plan.
So how do you gain motivation to lose weight? Personally, whenever I do not feel like running, I will look at pictures of athletes or runners in a marathon event. With the advanced technology nowadays, you can easily get motivating pictures from the Internet and push you to wear your running shoes for a good run. Or you can even log on to YouTube and watch videos that can motivate you to exercise.
Your mind is a very powerful tool and you must make good use of it. You make your own decision -whether you want to lose weight now or put it off for another time. You can decide immediately whether you want to exercise or continue to sleep. So, make sure that you know how to tune your mind and motivate it so that you can do the right things to lose weight.
Other than exercising regularly, you should also eat healthily. Many people think that they should only eat 3 meals a day - nothing can be further from the truth. Eating 3 meals a day is something that is man-made and you should never follow it if you want to lose weight successfully. Instead, you should eat at least 4 to 5 small meals each day. When you eat regularly throughout the day, your metabolism rate will remain high. With high metabolism rate, you can burn fat faster and thus make you lose weight. However, I do empathize that the portion for each meal should be small. Overeating can still make you fat!
Also drink more water to detoxify your body. Your body contains toxins which will make you fat. By drinking enough water and eating fruits every day, your body will be cleansed from toxins and enable you to lose weight.
As you can see, losing weight is not as hard as you think it is. A right diet, regular exercise plan and a little discipline & determination should be enough for you to lose weight in the coming New Year.
