If you're like so many Americans, you struggle with excessive weight and obesity. Today, obesity has become one of the most commonplace ailments in our medical system. With so many diets and pills out there, why are we still so heavy? The most fundamental issue of weight loss has been ignored for years. It's detoxification.
Detoxification maximizes the rate your body burns away toxins and poisons in your body. How does this relate to weight loss?
When you aren't properly detoxified, your adipose (fat) cells store excess toxins in an attempt to cleanse your bloodstream. Over the years, your fat cells can become poisoned by the excessive chemicals and unnatural compounds. This leads to many undesirable side effects at the cellular level.
First of all, these toxins disrupt your cell's metabolic processes. The cells that are filled with toxins suck calories and precious carbohydrates to fuel their poisonous state. As they suck more energy, your brain receives signals from your body that signals hunger. You feel hungry even though you've eaten enough food because your essential cells (such as muscles and bone) are being robbed of their energy by your poisoned fat cells.
With all these excessive consumption of food, it would inevitably leads to increased toxin consumption and over-indulgence. Our fat cells would then carry more toxins and calories and we would become heavier and look heavier. You lose all the motivation to exercise as you would feel more tired. Our body would then be trapped in this vicious cycle of unhealthy lifestyle and improper detox. Even our organs which can usually help our body to detox naturally lose its efficiency. The only way to break this vicious cycle is through external detoxification and changing our lifestyle.
When you detoxify, you force your fat cells to release the toxins they've been storing for years. After they release their toxins, they begin to heal and your other cells can get the energy they need. After a detoxification, you'll find that you no longer feel needlessly hungry. And the food you consume is used to its maximum effect- no wasted carbohydrates or calories. With this, you lose weight.
As you lose weight, you're more apt to exercise. This alone creates sweat, which is a very effective detoxifier in itself! The more you exercise, the more toxins you flush, and the more weight you lose. As you lose more weight, your liver and digestive tract become more efficient as well. The quicker they get rid of toxins, the less you store in your fat cells.
A big part of detoxification is a change in your lifestyle habits. Once you've completed a detoxification cycle, you must eat properly to ensure you don't fall back into the same old toxifying cycle. Changing what you eat allows your body to maintain its healthy state, and your weight won't "yo-yo" as it does in more traditional weight loss programs. Consistent weight maintenance is one of the biggest predictors of weight loss success. The more stable your weight, the better your metabolism and detoxification.
