Most of the adult population has been or currently is on some type of diet. Diets are everywhere! Every place you turn, someone is talking about a new diet. A diet that is unlike any other that came before. A diet that will change your life forever and you won't even have to exercise!
The truth is there is no such thing as an easy diet. There is no such thing as a life-changing diet. There is a large variety of diets out there, and they all have different rules as to how to lose weight. However, they all have one thing in common; as soon as you lose the weight and step off of the diet, (poof!) the weight comes back, sometimes leaving you with even more weight than you had before the diet! This is called the yo-yo effect, and it is true with any diet. The point I am trying to make is simply this: A diet is not a healthy weight loss solution.
To make a healthy weight loss choice, you need to eat the right foods and get regular exercise. Here are some so-called "magic" foods that will help you to lose the weight in a healthy and safe way:
•÷ Grapes: All of the dieticians agree on one thing; if you are going to eat a lot of anything, make it fruits and vegetables. Grapes will fill you up very fast, and they contain vitamins that are necessary for your body. This fruit also contains no artificial sugars.
•÷ Bananas: Many people find that this fruit is very filling, and it is also full of vitamins. Don't eat too many of them however, because bananas have more starch than other fruits, and eating too many can add to your weight.
•÷ Carrots: This vegetable is very filling and convenient now that you can go to the grocery store and buy them in a re-sealable bag of baby carrots - perfect for snacking.
•÷ Water: This is not technically a food, but drinking lots of water really fills you up, and it is good for your kidneys. Water is much more beneficial for your body than coffee, tea and juice. Drink a glass or two of water before every meal, and you will eat less.
•÷ Frozen Drinks: Take a blender, some ice, frozen fruit and juice and you've got yourself a fat-free delicious, cold and refreshing drink that will fill you up. Most people think that a smoothie has to be made with yogurt or milk, but making them with juice or even water tastes just as good and it is much healthier this way.
•÷ Oatmeal: Sugar-free oatmeal in the morning will keep you full and healthy until lunchtime. You can substitute the sugar by putting cinnamon, raisins or fruit in your oatmeal, and you will not miss the taste of the sugar.
