The diet protocol by Dr. Simeon isn't an easy one to follow. Then again what diet, for that matter, is really easy? Many require certain sacrifices. However with HCG, you don't need to starve to lose the unwanted pounds that lower your self-esteem.
The HCG weigh loss program has two parts. The first is the injected or orally fed HCG hormone. The other one is the diet. You cannot opt for the HCG ingestion only since the diet has a crucial part in the approach. What you pay on the HCG may all be squandered without the diet.
The HCG program is applicable to both women and men. The protocol specifics are provided by Dr. Simeon in his book "Pounds and Inches" but for your benefit the important points are discussed here.
The principal component of the program consists of 23 or 43 shots or orally administered HCG hormones. The HCG is given daily except during menstrual periods. The special diet is simultaneously implemented. Through the first three days, you're allowed to load yourself up with fatty meals. The difficulty starts after the third day and third shot because then you will be maintained on 500 calorie diet to continue seventy two hours after the last HCG shot.
Following the hardship phase, you will be permitted most foods with just a minor restriction- you are not allowed all sorts of sugars and starch. Don't get worried, however, as after 3 weeks of this diet you can now add, although slowly and gradually, a bit of starch in your diet.
For the 500 calories diet "Pounds and Inches" endorses the following menu:
For breakfast: Tea or coffee in any amount without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in Twenty four hours. Saccharin or stevia sweetener can be utilized.
For Lunch: 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed.
One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast. An apple or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
For Dinner: The same four choices as lunch
From the above; it is obvious that the HCG protocols are not so difficult after all. You should be eating a lot better than other people not on a diet.
