So many of us in the world want to lose weight today. Some for health reasons, some for looks, some to improve their relationships, etc. One thing I have discovered, is that if you try to lose weight on 1200 calories, you could be depriving yourself of valuable nutrients that you need to stay healthy and continue to lose weight.
If you have ever tried such restricted calorie diets, then you know how hard it is to stay on them. You feel hungry all the time. You have severe cravings. And before long, even if you do lose weight on 1200 calories, you blow your diet because your body craves more.
After you go off of these diets with so much restriction, you will notice that the weight comes back on, and usually with a few extra pounds to keep it company. This makes your battle that much harder because now you just don't have the original weight to lose, but extra weight that you didn't have when you started. Losing weight can be so difficult and time consuming, you don't want to waste your energy trying to lose weight on 1200 calories, if you will not be able to handle something like that long term.
The best way to lose weight is with a meal plan that is manageable for you and includes many of the things you like to eat, and also to exercise at your level. Include some cardio, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. Many people do strength training to build up muscle, but many don't realize that they already have muscle, but it's buried under inches of fat.
Even though many people do lose weight on 1200 calories, it is not something that is obtainable for most people, in the long run, unless you only have a few pounds to lose.
