Cellulite is unfortunately a fact of life for most of the human population. Therefore, reducing cellulite is big business. There are marketing firms, manufacturing plants and pharmaceutical companies all focused on the one result, reducing cellulite. Billions and billions of dollars are spent every year in the attempt to kill this unsightly monster. What a shame that this money and this focus could not be translated into more beneficial efforts for fixing a true medical condition. The good news is that many of the treatments available for cellulite today will improve general health in addition to effectively reducing cellulite. The concept of a health program for reducing cellulite should have been introduced a long time ago.

A Cellulite Reducing Program

The best programs are those that talk about reducing cellulite as a potential outcome of an overall systemic health improvement program. Improving cardiovascular and other circulatory functions, such as the bile system, will be much more far reaching in consequence than the use of a circulating band or other such cellulite reducing treatments. However, proper treatment of the skin should also be part of a real therapy program, since the top layers of the skin need moisturizing and stimulating as well. The end result of such a comprehensive program should not only be cellulite reducing, but you should also feel better as well.

Improving Circulation

To improve general circulation, several factors are important. The first is the exercise of the cardiovascular system. This is primarily the result of some form of sustained exercise, which amazingly may actually tone those muscles and skin areas that are prone to cellulite production. There is probably a link between sitting on one’s posterior for a prolonged amount of time and the amount of cellulite buildup. After all, sitting can only cramp the circulation to such areas. When one is sitting, most of your weight pushes down on those areas and it stands to reason that the action must squeeze the capillaries and veins in the area at least a little. Sitting for extended periods of time should not be part of a cellulite reducing program.

Creams and Stuff

This is the second leg of the cellulite reducing program. However, great care must be spent in selecting products that actually do what they say they can do. If your skin needs moisturizing, then you typically buy the best moisturizer you can afford. In fact, you should do the same thing for any skin product. However, because there are so many scams, if you are buying a product that targets reducing cellulite, a different approach may be called for. First, read what the ingredients are in the particular cream, gel or other substance, and then compare them with those for the moisturizer you just purchased and buy the least expensive one.
