Losing Weight Without Gym: Can it be done?

We all struggle with our weight at times, fact. It is almost too easy to put weight on, without being able to take it off. The struggle most of us go through just to stay in shape seems almost too hard, not to mention unfair. You can go to the gym for a month and you still won't have worked off that big meal you had one weekend...

Whats worse is when you actually go to the gym and try to keep yourself healthy, you find yourself doing exactly the same exercises, becoming insanely bored! You know what I mean: you go to the same gym, day in, day out, just to see exactly the same machines and stuffy room. It isn't exactly exciting is it. You trudge over to the same bike machine you always go on for the same amount of time and the same speed. The annoying thing is: you know yourself that this will not drastically change your body shape. You have to go through this long, boring process, knowing that it won't make much of a difference.

Losing weight without gym visits would be a real bonus to most people and there are ways of doing so. Ways that will offer new challenges and different experiences whilst still giving you the benefits of working out. There are many different ideas you can try, such as road biking, circuit training and home fitness games consoles.

A great way to keep your exercise fresh and exciting is to travel different routes, either biking, skating or jogging. This can be a very beneficial change from just going to the gym as you have a better all round experience. You never have the same jog twice. Which would you prefer: staring at a wall or mirror for half an hour whilst on a bike machine or looking at all of the wildlife on a country bike ride?

There are plenty of possibilities you can try from home, without even going out of the house. You can buy in your own weights, invent your own exercises or try something you wouldent in front of everyone at the gym. A good variation is going swimming, which is proven to be great for your all round health, and can be incorporated into your fitness schedule alongside other things.

A newer experience has recently been released which is games consoles that give us workouts whilst playing games such as the nintendo wii console. This type of exercising is proving to be very popular and may be worth trying.
