Everyone knows how to lose weight. So why don't we? We tried the fat loss diet, the diet and exercise program, and all those workout routines to lose weight. It's simple, isn't it?
To lose weight you must:

A doctor friend of mine recently told me that only about 5% of people who diet actually lose weight and keep it off. Everyone else who has difficulty keeping their weight down is just losing to gain again and, often times, gain even more than before.
I have a friend who is large - somewhere around 300 pounds. In 15 years of knowing her she has never gotten close to 200 pounds. Once she confided to me that every time she starts dropping weight, she experiences forgotten incidents with emotional trauma. These are the same emotions that sent her to the refrigerator in the first place. Be it frustration, guilt, anger or hopelessness, each time she used food to sedate herself, the emotions actually got stored in her fat. Now, every time she starts to release fat, out come the emotions, just where she left them.
If you are chronically over weight, perhaps it's time to address your relationship with yourself. Do you really think another diet will solve your problem?
Decide now, once and for all, to really become more honest in your inner world. Next time you wake up with a twinkie in your hand, ask yourself if you are really hungry. And if not, then ask yourself what triggered the addictive response? Then, start asking yourself the deeper questions. Such as, "What kind of life do I want to have, and how close am I to that now? Why am I here? What is my purpose in life? Do I love myself? Can I really love anyone else before I learn to love myself?" Difficult questions, yes, but important ones.
You deserve to know the answers to these questions, even if they are tough to think about at first. The real issue here is not your weight. It's you quality of life; it's your relationship with yourself. And it is your life. No one can live it for you. Now that you are an adult, you really do want to step into the responsibilities of adulthood. It is your freedom to do so.
If you are willing to do this kind of work, the help you need will naturally come your way. It's the way it is.
So now you are going to break some habits; some unhealthy ones. You are going to become your own best friend. You are going to come out of seclusion: no more hiding inside a fortress that covers your vitality, your love, your presence, your availability to those who could use your help, because what you really want lies on the other side of the weight issue. What you really want is to be comfortable in your skin, no matter what size it is.
