The other day, I received an email from someone who wanted to know "how much does NutriSystem cost per month?" The answer really depends on which plan you're purchasing, whether you are using auto ship, whether you have any discounts or coupons, and whether you're going with the new flex program (where you get two days off to eat regularly each week) or the traditional plan. Monthly Cost Of The Regular NutriSystem Basic Plans: There are many different plan options on this diet. There is the regular women's and the regular men's, the men's and women's diabetic, the vegetarian, and the men's and women's silver (for older folks.) All of these have the same monthly cost. You can chose between the "member favorites" and the "custom menu." With the favorites, you are given a sampling of the most popular choices and favorite / popular flavors. With the custom, you can chose which flavors YOU would like best. This doesn't cost anything extra.

The base price of all of these plans is $299 if you are going with auto ship (where you have the company automatically ship a package each month) or $333 and about $18 shipping if you are just going month to month (or if you don't know how long you're going to be on the diet.) The nice thing about this is that there are no other cost in addition to than the food. There's no membership or registration fee and you don't have to pay for the professional counseling that is superb but included.

Plus, the company is quite generous with coupons. They will often offer a bunch of free food or up to $100 off at certain times. You should really never have to pay full price. Once you figure in your discounts, you can often get your cost down to about $8 – $10 per day or around $2.00 – $2.25 per meal.

The Cheapest NutriSystem Monthly Option Of All: NutriSystem Flex: The company has a new program that allows you to take off for two days per week. Many just take off over the weekend but you can chose any days that work best for you. This one cost only $234 per month because you are getting less food with the shipment. Since you are taking ten days off over the month, you'll need less food to last for the whole month and are therefore charged less. The foods aren't any different. Nor or the portions. The only difference is the amount that is being shipped to you. This option has been very well received as people like the option of taking a break so that they can enjoy some freedom and time with their families.
