Second, the intake of lots of drinking water will often make the dieter feel full. Exercise

While exercising won't take the pounds off quickly, it certainly will be effective in burning up some calories thus making the entire weight loss process less difficult. You will feel better and probably be able to drop a clothing size just by adding mild exercise such as walking to your daily routine.?Exercise at an aerobic level will reset your metabolism too, so that the remaining calories will be more efficiently used. A combination of long term weight management and a kick start program to give you the incentive to keep going will result in rapid weight loss that lasts.

Supplements

Most people rely on some sort of supplements in order to have rapid weight loss success. Some are prescription type supplements, others are used by those who prefer to use natural or herbal products. Some supplements work to provide a feeling of fullness, others use chemicals or herbs to speed the metabolism so that the calories burn faster. Some diet pills are suspect as to their safety level. Others are not available in the United States. Even natural products such as green tea may not be appropriate or effective for long term use.?

Fasting

For an effective rapid weight loss of just a few pounds, fasting may work well for some people. There are many different types of fasts, such as a water fast, juice fast and others. Usually a fast consists of limiting food for a short period. A fast may be used to lose weight, or for health reasons, but should always be started under a doctor's care. At a minimum, visit with your family physician about your general health and whether fasting is safe for you. Usually, 2-3 days of fasting will be long enough to lose a few pounds.
