How weird is the human mind?
If you are dieting for example and cut out chocolate you feel more compelled to eat it than before.
The reason for that is that you can抰 NOT think about something. If you try and NOT think about something you ending up thinking about it.
Don抰 think of a?. Green Tree Frog!
What did you just think about? I know?you thought of a Green tree frog, we all do, even for a split second then you might have forced yourself to think of something else.
If you try to avoid certain foods your mind will compel you even more than usual to consume them.
Easy Weight Loss
I love my food and generally have fairly poor will power. Without using some clever techniques I would fail at a diet. For 6 weeks I had to go on an eating plan avoiding sugar, caffeine, alcohol, meat, dairy, and anything processed. I know ?very unfair!
People that know me said I would never do it, but I did and here is how.
Instead of focusing on all the foods I couldn抰 have and becoming compulsed to eat more of them, I chose to focus on what I could eat.
I bought all the foods, meals, snacks I liked that were allowed on the plan. I cleared out a kitchen cupboard and a shelf of the fridge and put my foods there. Whenever I got hungry I only went to 憁y?cupboard. I never even saw the foods I couldn抰 have. I managed the 6 weeks with ease.
