Being Hypnotised Involves Going to Sleep
Many people imagine themselves becoming unconscious when they are hypnotised but this is simply not true. While in the hypnotic state, you will remain completely aware of both where you are and what you are doing. The purpose of hypnosis is to relax you and allow you to better access your subconscious thoughts, at no point will you lose consciousness. In fact if you did become unconscious, you would not actually be capable of achieving the levels of concentration required for hypnosis to actually be beneficial.
