Many people in developed countries eat wheat, corn, and soy in their diets. Theses 3 foods are consumed in massive amounts daily and are thought to be healthy for us; but are they really healthy?
Let’s start with wheat. The biggest problem with wheat and other grains is the gluten. Wheat causes many people to feel tired all the time, bloated, and frequent headaches. It also causes people to gain weight. People are actually addicted to wheat because of the gluten and carbs. As a matter of fact wheat can affect everyone including those who don’t have a problem with gluten.
Corn is very unhealthy and can pack on the pounds very fast. Why is corn so bad? Think about high fructose corn syrup and corn oil. Both are highly processed and are found in ketchup, wheat breads, cereals, pastas, sauces, sodas, and loads of other foods. Corn oil is mostly used in fried foods and can increase your risk of cancer. Corn oil is loaded with sugars and saturated fats. Corn oil increases your cravings making you more likely to make more unhealthy choices causing weight gain.
Soy is also highly processed. Soy milk can cause kidney stones, weight gain, breast cancer, female problems, and may weaken the immune system. Soy milk can also cause gout problems. Soybean oils are mostly hydrogenated to extend shelf life and be used in cooking. Hydrogenated soybean oil causes obesity and heart disease.
When these foods are eaten, they alter the way our body should function. All of these foods cause blood sugar levels to rise, slow metabolism causing massive weight problems, and many diseases. In the United States, these foods make up almost 70% of the diet and people wonder why they have health problems.
What makes the situation worst is the fact that animals are feed these same foods indoors instead of eating grass like they should. We are definitely consuming wheat, corn, and soy when we eat certain meats. Here’s a shocker to most people, some whole wheat breads contain both corn and soy products which makes wheat even worse for our bodies. We need to watch what we eat, read the labels, and buy meats that are naturally feed (grass feed or vegetarian diets).
We need to cut these unhealthy foods out of our lives drastically to less than 2 days a week and make better food selections. Buy tomato sauce out of the jar that are made of olive oil, and use natural sugars. Also avoid salad dressings that are store bought. You will start to feel better, lose weight and become healthier.
