Doing Multiple Rounds Of Hcg Diet

Achieving small goals in a weight loss program tend to motivate us to continue on th bigger goals. With every 5 pounds lost, the next 5 pounds is closer in reach! Typically, we start diets with a main goal: 15lbs, 50lbs, 100lbs to shed. On the HCG diet, some of those goals may need to be broken up into seperate rounds. When To Do More Than One Round

What is your ultimate weight loss goal? If your goal is over 34lbs, you will need to think about doing multiple rounds of the HCG Protocol. Dr. Simeons states in "Pounds and Inches" that patients are usually not permitted to lose more than 34lbs each round. So if you are looking to lose 50lbs, you will need to break that into two full rounds (43 days each). If you r sight is set on 75lbs, then you will need two full rounds, and a half round (23 days).

Between Rounds

Your body does need a break between rounds. The purpose of this is to have time for your body to adapt to the weight loss. After the first round, you will need at least 6 weeks to maintain your new weight. If you do a third round, give yourself 8 weeks before starting again. Wait 12 weeks between third and fourth rounds, 20 weeks between fourth and fifth rounds, and 6 months between fifth and sixth.

Maintaining After Each Round

After the last day of injection or injesting drops/spray, and additional 3 days is required on the 500 calorie diet to ensure HCG is out of the body. Sugars and starches are still off limits for the next three weeks. This is the amount of time the body needs to stabilize the weight that has been reached. Carbs are very dangerous during this period. If weight fluctuates more than 2 lbs either up or down from the last day of HCG, this must be corrected immediately!

To fix losing 2 lbs or more, simply add in a few calories. This is essential, as any weight lost at this point would be at the expense of normal fat (i.e. the fat around organs, or the fat that pads your feet).

Correcting a gain of two or more pounds will require a steak day. The same day the gain is noticed, skip breakfast and lunch. Drink plenty of water through the day. Then for dinner, sit down to the biggest steak you can find, as well as a raw apple or tomato. The one time I had to do this, I was so incredibly full after that steak!

Long-term goals are very important, but keep your short-term goals in mind from day to day when doing multiple rounds on the HCG diet. This will keep you on track for the bigger goal. Sometimes the ultimate goal can be overwhelming, maybe even be discouraging. Before you know it, you will be down to that last 5 pounds!
