The compounds found in green tea are scientifically proven to help in absorbing fat, hence making it the best tea for weight loss.
Green tea has a chemical known as EGCG which helps in speeding up metabolism and is responsible for the loss of many kilos in most green tea consumers. It can burn up to 70 calories a day. The catechins in green tea are also very helpful in burning fat. This tea is best taken three times a day. It is advisable to steep it for two to three minutes to allow the catechins to come out into the hot water before drinking it. The water should boil at 85 Degrees Celsius.
Another healthy tea that can help in weight loss is the oolong tea. It is one of the best guards against obesity. Research shows that this semi-fermented tea can even have a stronger effect on weight loss than the green tea. While reducing cholesterol, it helps to burn fat pretty fast. Peppermint tea is another weight loss tea. It is known to speed up digestion. The leaves can be used to make a light, refreshing tea that can either be taken hot or cold. You will need to allow the leaves to in hot water for about 4-5 minutes for the ingredients to fully come out.
A cup of tea, three times a day can offer great health benefits to those who wish to lose some weight. The antioxidants and other healthy compounds from the plant are absorbed by the body helping it function at an optimum level. It is also advisable to drink the tea when it is just freshly brewed in order to get all the catechins and the flavonoids in it.
