How Long Does It Take To Lose Weight By Running?

When it comes to losing weight, we often tend to look for the fastest way to achieve our goals. There are a lot of recommendations out there about what could be the fastest way to burn off those extra pounds around your abdominal region. Cardio exercises such running, cycling or rowing would the normal exercises when it comes to the types of calorie burning exercises. But the most asked question would be how long does it take to lose weight by running, cycling or even rowing?

When can you notice physical changes?

Through experience and trials, I have done all three exercises and they produces the same result, but in different ways of doing it. I lost weight on a weekly basis and this was incorporated with a strict diet and a proper exercise routine which I follow every day. Changes may be visible depending on how hard you have work to lose weight. I keep track of weekly changes, but it does vary if you are training weights as well. The best suggestion is to keep track of your progress by taking photos of yourself from week one, two…and so on. It’s also a good way to keep you motivated.

When is the best time to do cardio exercises?

It doesn’t really matter when as I do see a lot of people go for a run during their lunch break and back in the office an hour later. Personally, I would recommend in the morning. Not only that I am full of energy after bed, but also it feels good. And it is always good to do cardio exercises on an empty stomach as more calories will be burn off. But do drink a glass of water of cup of tea just to wake you up!

What you eat is what you will become

It’s always easy to lose weight when you put in the hard yards by following the right exercises at the right time. But you need to remember what you eat will also affect the end result. There is no point in running or cycling 30 minutes twice a day, when you’re having junk food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eat more fruits and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Yes, you will feel hungry very fast, but the rule is to eat small five to six meals a day.

What if I am injured and can’t run?

REST! When you are first starting to exercises, there are possibilities that you might injure yourself. It is highly recommended to get someone to guide or you can learn by watching videos on Youtube about how to exercise and stretch, which will prevent you from getting injured and lose weight fast.

The best way to put it is that there is no fast or slow way to lose weight. It literally depends on how much effort you put into your work out and the diets that you follow.
