For the past few weeks I have been working on a project and browsing a few websites which varied from promotional to informational (medical case studies). It’s a little off my targeted research but I found something that I thought was interesting and I thought I would share it here.
Many sites and I mean many sites like a truckload, implied in so many words, well, more like all the words, that they possessed the newest secret to transform body fat. The underlying theme was that it required little to no work. Some even claimed body fat dropped off while you were sleeping.

Now I am a few years short of my PhD. By, mmm, I don’t know, maybe, eight years. But I too feel very confident in recommending my latest and newest body fat transformation secret formula: Get off your butt and burn more calories than you take in. All kidding aside, I realize this is a little… Ok, gross oversimplification of the process to achieve a physically fit body. I know this because not only have I been there done that. But I have trained people that have been there done that also.
Really though. You have to admit that burning more calories than you take in is at least the basic formula to achieve such a desire and anyone who tells you otherwise is probably not telling the whole truth (to put it nicely and not use French).
I am not saying there are not products out there that work or at least help when trying to improve our physical health and personal appearance. Yes there are many products that do this and I have used some.
There are many workout programs that I have used or witnessed others use that are simply phenomenal. It comes down to at the end of the day you need to do your due diligence and research some of these claims. Ask yourself, do the claims of xyz product hold water; If not, move on.
I don’t want to beat a dead horse but, in this short article I have tried to show that the secret formula to transforming body fat is not so secret after all. It requires some mental effort and physical work. But you don’t have to do it alone.
