How To Get Abs | The Truth About Abs

One of the most commonly asked questions in the fitness industry these days is "how to get abs"? With hundreds of programs surfacing around the internet promoting vigorous and tiring workout routines involving hundreds of crunches and sit-ups and various other miracle exercises or the next best cure it can be very a daunting and tiring process to find one that actually works let alone provides some simple advice.

HOW TO GET ABS?

You might be suprised to know that you already have strong defined abs, theyre just covered by layers of fat and therefore are not visible or aren't showing. To get those strong defined abs that we are all searching for there's a few thing's you need to know.

Spot reduction is a myth.

What I mean by "spot reduction is a myth" is that it is impossible for you to lose fat from one specific targetted area on your body (mid-section for example). The first thing you need to do is to start burning fat from all over your body, the places that you burn fat from faster or burn more fat from will all come down to your body and your genetics, for example when I am dropping weight, the fat around my lower abs tends to be the last to go.

Train abs like any other muscle group.

While I say that one of the most important factors for abs are weight loss and burning fat, it is also very important to exercise the muscle just like you would with any other muscle group. This is helping by not only burning calories which are going to help with weight loss but also strengthening your ab muscles to give you that nice firm, toned look upon losing the fat.

Diet.

Before you even think of going and starting an abs training program your absolute first priority is getting your diet sorted out. The diet is the most essential key to getting those abs to show and without it all you are going to be doing is making your abs stronger, yet no more visible than they already are. Not every diet out there is going to work specifically for you, therefore you are going to need to tailor your diet and eating program to your bodies needs based on calorie intake.
