You don't have to eat like a rabbit and starve yourself on carrots and lettuce. There are many things you already eat, that can be tweaked to make them healthier and help you lose weight. It all has to do with portion control and substitution. Instead of a greasy burger dripping with guacamole sauce, bacon, fried onion rings, three strips of cheese and a bun that is made from enriched flour. Instead use a wheat bun, turkey burger, avocado, lettuce, tomato and some shredded mozzarella cheese. That is just on great alternative to a greasy high calorie burger.
When in the grocery store shopping for foods to eat, stay away for things that are processed such as anything that is in a box or bag. Opt to buy fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats like raw chicken breasts, turkey burger, turkey bacon, and fish like salmon. By making a grocery list and sticking to your list while at the store, you will find that it really isn't as expensive as you may think to eat healthy when on a budget.
