Can Low Blood Pressure a Stroke?

Low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, is not directly a cause of stroke. Instead, it is associated with a decreased likelihood of strokes occurring. On the other hand, extremely low blood pressure or sudden drops in blood pressure can contribute to an increased risk of certain health conditions and symptoms that may indirectly increase the potential for strokes, such as dizziness, falls, dehydration, and kidney dysfunction. However, these associations require evaluation and management by a qualified healthcare professional as low blood pressure in a specific individual might have different underlying causes and potential implications.
