When you want to lose weight, you have to change your eating habits. However, you can't expect to go on a diet, lose the weight, and then go right back to your old eating habits. That's how many people end up gaining the weight right back, and some gain even more weight than they began with. To lose weight effectively, you must burn more calories than you take in.
This can be done by following a high protein low carb diet plan. Notice how that didn't say no to carbs. Carbs are good for you; your body uses carbohydrates for energy. By limiting your carb intake, however, with a high protein low carb diet plan, you will force your body to use fat stores for energy and thus that pesky flab will come off in no time. You must get some exercise, too, with a high protein low carb diet plan if you want your body to burn the fat faster.
Low carb diet meal plans are not as restrictive as they sound. Low carb diet meal plans can include things like brown rice, whole wheat bread, etc., you just have to limit your intake of them. A good rule of thumb is to eat most of your carbs during the morning and afternoon and then limit them or eliminate them altogether as the day gets later. Supplement your plate with more protein to fill you up faster and so that your body will use the protein for muscle mass, which will help you burn more calories during rest periods.
For breakfast, a high protein low carb diet plan might include some whole wheat waffles with turkey sausage, turkey bacon and a glass of skim milk. Of course, you should only eat what your body needs. If you're a woman, you should eat fewer calories, then, say, if you were a man. However, make sure you drink plenty of water as it will fill you up faster, it will keep you from retaining water, and it will increase the functioning of your body's metabolism.
For lunch, a high protein low carb diet plan might include one piece of whole wheat bread with some lunch meat piled on top, some cheese and a glass of milk. Fruit can be eaten, too, but fruit can contain a lot of sugar so it should be limited on a high protein low carb diet plan. Just fill up on protein, eat fewer carbs and you should be good.
For dinner, vegetables and a piece of meat should be fine. It's better not to have any carbs at dinner since you'll be going to bed soon and those carbs are more likely to be converted into fat stores rather than going to fuel your muscles.
