1. Find a comfortable position. Sit or lie down in a position that feels comfortable and stable. You may want to close your eyes or gaze softly at a focal point in front of you.
2. Take a few deep breaths. Inhale slowly through your nose for 4-6 seconds, and then exhale slowly through your mouth for 4-6 seconds. Repeat this for several breaths, or until you feel relaxed.
3. Listen to the guided meditation. Pay attention to the voice of the guide and follow their instructions. The guide may lead you through a body scan, visualization, or other type of meditation.
4. Let go of expectations. Don't worry about whether you are doing the meditation "correctly." Just let go of your thoughts and expectations, and allow yourself to be guided by the meditation.
5. Come back to the present moment. If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the present moment by focusing on your breath or the voice of the guide.
6. End the meditation. When the meditation is finished, take a few deep breaths and open your eyes. You may want to take a few minutes to reflect on your experience.
