1) Many people think that drinking juice is very important. Actually, juice isn't as healthy as you might think. Most store brand, pre-made juices are filled with sugar. Instead of drinking sugar-filled juices, loaded with calories, try eating the actual fruit instead - or make your own.

2) First thing in the morning when you're getting that cup of coffee or tea avoid adding all sorts of sugar and cream. This is where all those extra calories easily creep in. Just imagine, instead of drinking that cup of coffee with cream and sugar that you're drinking a candy bar. And all that candy can't be good for you if you want to lose weight.

3) If you do have to have tea or coffee, drink it black. Drink a glass of water afterward to counteract any chance of getting dehydrated (caffeine in tea or coffee will dehydrate you). Green tea is another great drink choice.

4) Stay away from all forms of alcohol if at all possible. Most are very fattening and may make you want to snack as you drink adding even more calories to your daily intake. If you must have an alcoholic beverage try a dry wine.

5) Avoid drinking excessive amounts of coffee - especially if you plan on exercising. Always drink plenty of water after coffee or any caffeinated drink.
