Well, simply drink more water and you will teach your body that it does have enough and that it is easy to get more. Then your body will react and start to release the water retained.

It actually works the same with food. If you stuff yourself daily for a period of weeks and months, your body get used to that amount of food. Then if you start to reduce the amount you eat, hey presto, you feel hungry. You need to re-educate your body when trying to lose weight. Stick with it as in time your body gets used to less food and more water.

Do you have skin problems? Well, drink more water. Yes, simply but true. Drinking more water cleans your skin from the inside. Water also has many other benefits to your health including more supple limbs and joints and if you find trouble going to the toilet on a regular basis, then water is the best solution.

Here is another tip for you. when you begin to feel thirsty, maybe on a hot summer day, your body is telling that it needs more water and that it is under-hydrated. Try to prevent this from occurring by drinking as much water as you can on hot days. Cold water works best and helps to burn off a few more calories.

Avoid falling into the trap of thinking fruit juices and coffee are water, even though 99% of them is water. Coffee actually takes water out of your body so it has the reverse affect. Fruit juices can add to your calorie intake, and when trying to lose weight, it is not advised to increase your calorie intake. Soda's, cola's and other such drinks should also be avoided. Stick to drinking plain old water. After a while, you will discover just how sweet many of the popular soda's really taste and you will not want to go back to drinking them.

Try to keep a bottle of water handy at all times. Sip it constantly and do not drink down two huge glasses at once.

Obviously, you should keep away from drinking alcohol if you want to lose weight. All it does is prevent the water in your body from doing what it supposed to.
