A change of Diet

 

My wife has moved back again to Weight Watchers.

I am not sure if anyone outside my house keeps up with this, but my lovely wife has moved from Weight Watchers a year ago to Jenny Craig six months ago and now back to Weight Watchers. We were talking tonight after dinner about the move back and I am happy that she went back to a Weight Watchers meeting. I have always like Weight Watchers because the meal plan is based on food that the whole family can eat so every one can eat well instead of just the one on the “diet”.

 

Anyway back to the after dinner conversation. My wife was saying how happy she is being back at Weight Watchers, the food is easier to figure out for the family and if you are at all of a picky eater it is very difficult to stay with the Jenny Craig because the prepackaged meals are not as varied as a diet you would want to stay on. My wife did get reintroduced to something that I have advocated for years, that is to eat three meals and three smaller meals (snacks) a day. She will keep with this which I believe is best because it keeps your blood sugar more consistent and stops your body from thinking that it is starving and turning down your metabolism.

My wife of course does not listen to what I have to say about diet and exercise because I eat so poorly in her mind. I eat to much junk food and she eats next to none. Of course I always tell her that my metabolism is higher because I tend to be as active as possible and tend to be moving even when I am just sitting on the computer. Metabolism and raising your metabolism naturally I believe is really under rated.

Back to the Weight Watchers versus Jenny Craig. Most people that have tried both plans have a preference. I know that the food may be a bit pricier with Jenny Craig but it is so much more convenient as well. Weight Watchers is still my favorite diet as I have stated before but it really is true that whichever diet works best for you is the one that you should be on.
