When changing your lifestyle to become more healthy and happy you need to realise that goal setting is an absolute must. Goal setting is an important part of achieving the results that you want.

When you want to lose weight and burn fat you need to know where you want to end up. You need to know what results you want to achieve so that you keep on the right road to where you want to be.

Without even realising we set goals every day of our lives. Some are only short term goals and some are longer term. Without these goals we would not do what we set out to do.

An example would be driving somewhere. We set in our head that we are going to end up at the place we want to end up at a certain time. A goal. We may catch a few traffic lights, or have to take a detour because there are road works or a car accident, but in the end we achieve our goal of what we set out to do.

In weight loss the same applies. You need to focus on making sure you are fully aware of the goals that you want to achieve. You should set some short term goals and then some longer term goals so you know the destination you are going to arrive at.

You may get side tracked along the way and take a "detour", but that is OK as long as you know where you want to end up you can adjust and continue on the right path.

An essential part of goal setting for weight loss is writing your goals down. You need to make sure they are just not in your head, but they are on a piece of paper that you can read. This makes them more "real" and you can refer back to them whenever you feel yourself wavering!

You should also make sure that you reassess your goals regularly to make sure you are still on the correct path. You may achieve one earlier than you thought. That"s OK make another one.

Remember, aim high! You can do it! You can achieve more than you think!
