Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, combine the oats, water or milk, and salt (if using).
2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the oats are tender and have absorbed all of the liquid.
4. Remove from heat and let sit for 1 minute before serving.
5. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Tips
* To make a larger batch of oatmeal, simply double or triple the ingredients.
* If you prefer your oatmeal to be thicker, add less liquid.
* If you prefer your oatmeal to be thinner, add more liquid.
* Oatmeal can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To reheat, simply microwave on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until heated through.
