GREEN BEAN & TUNA CASSEROLE
1 small onion, chopped, 2 1/2 ounces
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 14-ounce cans French cut green beans, drained well
4 ounce can mushrooms, drained well
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
2 6-ounce cans tuna, drained well
Saut?the onion and celery in the butter until very soft and a little browned, about 20 minutes. Combine all of the ingredients in a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole or 8x8" baking dish. Bake at 350? uncovered, 30 minutes or until nicely browned and bubbly.
Makes about 6 servings

This is another variation of Dottie's Green Bean Casserole and is very good. If you prefer, you could use a 16 ounce bag of frozen French cut green beans and cook them as directed on the package.
