HALEY'S NANA'S BISCUITS
2 cups Carbquik
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and diced
2/3 cup buttermilk
Cut the butter into the Carbquik until it looks like coarse meal. Add the milk and stir just until the dough comes together. Turn the dough out onto the counter and coat lightly with Carbquik. Roll out 1/2" thick; cut with a 2 1/4" biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 450?10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Makes 8 biscuits

These turned out very well and my husband thought they were great. I thought they tasted too much like Carbquik so I only took a few bites of the biscuit under my Creamed Chicken. If I make these again, I will try using half cream and half water in place of the buttermilk because now I'm left with most of a quart of buttermilk and nothing to use it for.
