3. Hypodermis:

- The deepest layer of the skin is known as the hypodermis or subcutaneous tissue.

- Primarily composed of fat cells (adipocytes).

- Acts as a cushion, providing insulation and protection for internal organs.

- Helps regulate body temperature and stores energy.

Functions of the Skin:

The skin performs numerous essential functions, including:

1. Protection:

- Serves as a physical barrier against harmful substances, microorganisms, and UV radiation.

- Prevents dehydration and regulates body temperature.

- Helps in wound healing and scar formation.

2. Sensation:

How to Keep Your Skin Healthy:

Maintaining healthy skin requires a combination of good habits and skincare practices:

1. Gentle Cleansing:

- Wash your skin twice a day with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water.

- Avoid harsh scrubbing, as it can damage the skin's natural barrier.

2. Hydration:
