QuestionThere has been some talk and I have read some about vinegar diets. Do they work as stated? Is there a site that I can go to, to read more about the diet? Also do you know what does it involve. Is it drinking vinegar or apple cider vinegar or mixing it with a meal. Anything you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Robert
AnswerDear Robert,
I failed finding any scientific evidence that vinegar, or apple cider vinegar diets work by themselves. If they require controlling protion, and/or foods to eat and to avoid, etc., these elements will work of course. A part of the success (if there's success) can be attributed to so called placebo effect.
Placebo effect is organizm's reaction to a neutral substance, for instance, sugar or chalk pills, that influence bodily functions the way it is mentally expected.
You can get specifics of the diet at http://www.anyvitamins.com/apple-cider-vinegar-diet.htm
