QuestionI am a 54 year old ice skating coach in the Midwest. I don't smoke; and no longer drink alcohol. I have experienced multiple aging problems recently: some trouble swallowing chewy meats (it gets stuck and I literally choke); bleeding hemorrhoids; arthritis; and an enlarged prostate. Generally, I get enough sleep, and am not stressed. I am 5'9", 175 lbs, sort of athletic. I have mostly dropped meat, due to the swallowing. I do some turkey, ground meat, fish, once in a long while. I mostly have tried: high fiber cereals, fruits, veggies, dairy, water, and morning coffee. I am looking for something that won't cause my hemorrhoids to get irritated and enflamed; plus I'd like to lose some weight. The vegetarian stuff seems to make me feel "gassy", and like I have to go to the bathroom a lot. I was wondering what you would suggest. My old ice show weight was 147.
AnswerHi Mark
Addition of dietary fiber may improve internal bleeding hemorrhoids although with no immediate effect.

I would also suggest you see a doc who could sure your hemorrhoid problem permanently
