QuestionHi there!
I have a very very busy schedule and Im not much of an eater so I end up eating quite little (my weight is fairly healthy though for my short height- im not underweight). So since I eat very little AND I'm a vegetarian...can you recommend what foods I should get enough of for brain power? I mean most of the work I do involves using my intelligence (focusing on reading and writing and speaking alot) since I am studying for a masters and working as a teacher as well.
Please let me know what I need to make sure I eat enough of so that I can concentrate alot and so my brain does not to give up on me!
thanks!
Nada
AnswerHi Nada,
I'm somewhat at a loss as to why you e-mailed your question to me, as I'm primarily an expert on various (partially or 100% raw) Palaeolithic diets, which are all very high in animal foods(eg:- raw organ-meats/raw eggs/raw honey etc.)(indeed these diets are the polar opposite of vegetarianism!). I can only assume that you weren't able to find a vegetarian expert on www.allexperts.com and simply e-mailed this very same question to as many diet experts as possible, without checking the profiles/descriptions.
There IS 1 vegan expert on nutrition on another section of www.allexperts.com. Follow the link to Karen McLaughlin:- http://www.allexperts.com/getExpert.asp?Category=749
(I presume you've already asked this question of Evelyn Alexander in this Special Diets section) who specialises in Biodynamic Vegetarianism)
Obviously I can't very well answer your question as it would be unethical - like most RPDers, I'm an ex-Vegetarian/ex-Raw Vegan/ex-Fruitarian). However, I have heard of a very tiny number of those interested in Raw, Palaeolithic Diets, who, for religious reasons etc.(Hindus etc.), cannot touch raw or cooked meat but who are interested in the other aspects of RPD diets, such as raw dairy, raw honey, raw eggs, juiced veg etc. Should you fall into this category, feel free to post a follow-up question with such an explanation, and I'll see what I can suggest for you.
Hope This Helps!
