QuestionTanya, I looked at the site and here is my concern, I am very weird in that I do not like a lot of foods. In your sample recipes, there were many things I just can't eat. Like onions in the breakfast, the entire salad for lunch, the entire dinner. I am a very basic simple person who also does not have time to create what appears to be complicated recipes. I am a sandwich eater, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, steak, eggs, cheese, tuna/mayo type of eater. Now let me ask you in all honesty, can your diet help me? when I can't eat 70% of what I saw on your sample list? I know its very probably that people like me are doomed since my likes are so limited. But, it would be easier for you to just tell me that if I am not willing to eat certain things, the banta diet will not help me.
Thanks

Question -
Tanya,
Is it possible to low carb without eating the salads and vegatables as the Atkins Diet mandates? because I can eat low carb rather easily but cannot eat those greens. In 40yrs I was never able to eat them and I'm wondering if I just low carbed in general with real food (meat, cheese, eggs) if weight loss is possible?
Because, I know from eating the Atkins board that these people freak out if you try to do it without eating them and I can't help but wonder, isn't low carb, low carb?
Thanks

Hello Rich,
I hope you'll find it natural that I advocate our own diet plan. Its initial phase is exactly what you are asking for :) and 92% of our dieters succeed.
Please take a look at our introduction at http://bantadiet.com and if for some reason you decide against formaly joining the program, let me know and I'll help you with exact foods you can have without counting anything, carbs including.

AnswerDon't worry Rich, you are like 70% of our dieters who also choose only some things not all of them. In the samples, you see recipes for the basic plan, we have more options. Besides, keep it in your mind that the plan is changing every week, so the most strict rules are for the first weeks. As you proceed on the program and approach carb rotation, you have more choices.
We also offer meal analysis/modification: describe your favorite meal and we'll tell you whether it's good for the phase you are on or how you can modify it to make it good.
