QuestionI have a few questions on fruit diets. Is there such a thing as fruit diets and do they work. Also is there such a diet that revolves around eating a regular meal one day then only fruit the next thus cutting your calorie intake in half.
I need to find some kind of diet that works for me, as I don't have a lot of time to exercise. I can do the Atkins, but it's hard to do without some of my more favorite foods. Just thought if I could teeter between eating regular food one day and fruit the next, maybe this would work.
Thank you,
Robert
AnswerDear Robert,
There almost is such a diet. I mean the way of eating when you have fruit fasts once or twice a week. Some people practice these fasts plus milk or yogurt fasts on two other days of the week.
This way is good for advanced phases of a program, especially of a low carb program, when appetite is already reduced. Otherwise, you'll be hungry on the fruit-fast days.
However, I should warn you that just reducing calories in order to save time on exercising, isn't the best approach to weight management (leave alone your health). If you can not find time for exercise, be warned that you'll have to find time for doctors.
Hope it helps,
