Question okay i am 18 yrs old, 5'2 and weigh about 110-115 lbs. i wanna lose about 10 lbs, and started atkins almost 3 weeks ago. i have lost some but not much. shouldnt i have lost the 10lbs already, or since i have little to lose, will it take alot longer??? i also workout 45 min about 6 days a week on a treadmill. i have been following the atkins plan the right way too. any advice? thanks!
AnswerUnfortunately, only overweight people see good results on Atkins. Since you're already at the lower end of the healthy weight range, you won't have any luck with Atkins or with pretty much any diet. If you want to change your body, continue to eat a healthy, balanced diet with lots of fruits and veggies, and focus on exercise. Slowly work up to running at least 6-7 mph, then add a little bit of incline. You probably won't lose 10 pounds, but you'll be amazed at how much firmer and tighter your body will be-serious runners don't have an ounce of fat on them, and they never have to diet.
