QuestionHi, I have been eating raw for 6 months now, and understand that calcium is important to balance all the meat in our diets. I eat similar to the percentages u have (10% CARB REST MEAT AND FATS). If you have eliminated the raw dairy... where do u get ur calcium from?
AnswerI'm not a believer in the calcium issue, to be honest. Here's a standard extract from the Net showing that high calcium-intake isn't necessary for healthy bones or general body-maintenance:-
"
The Bantu of Africa have the lowest rates of osteoporosis of any
culture, yet they consume from 175 to 476 mg of calcium daily. The
Japanese average about 540 mg daily, but the early postmenopausal
spinal fractures so common in the West are almost unheard of in
Japan. Overall, their spinal fracture rate is one-half that of the
US. All this is true, even though the Japanese have one of the
longest life spans of any population. Studies of populations in
China, Gambia, Ceylon, Surinam, Peru and other cultures all report
similar findings of low calcium intake and low osteoporosis rates.34
Anthropologist Stanley Garn, who studied bone loss over a 50-year
period in people in North and Central America, failed to find a link
between calcium intake and bone loss.35
While it is agreed upon that adequate calcium is absolutely necessary
for development and maintenance of healthy bones, there is no one
standard ideal calcium intake. It is also obvious from these studies
that high calcium intake is not necessary for healthy bones."

Here's also another article on the low need for calcium by humans:-

The above article points out how the average intake-ratio of calcium to magnesium was, roughly, on a 1:1 ratio, during the Paleolithic - which is the ideal ratio for the human body. As soon as you consume dairy products, you skew this ratio heavily towards calcium, and a too high intake-ratio of calcium to magnesium leads to a blocking of the uptake of further magnesium, leading to symptoms of magnesium deficiency - indeed, it's extremely common for those doing Aajonus's high-dairy Primal-diet, to take regular amounts of artificial magnesium supplements to counter this effect.
I get my calcium partly from raw seafood, which is generally very high in calcium(eg:- sardines, wild salmon, oysters etc. etc.), as well as from raw organ-meats. Organ-meats have moderate amounts of calcium, which I believe are sufficient.
Hope This Helps
