QuestionI抦 currently dealing with a tooth that endured some trauma due to a crown being replaced. My dentist practices biological dentistry so we both agree not to rush into doing anything extreme so he wants me to try to do what I can to support healing with the tooth to bring down inflammation.
Other than applying various topicals and avoiding the obvious foods (e.g., sugars, carbs, and dairy etc.) that can cause inflammation, do you know if any particular organ meats or fats that help bring down inflammation in the body?
My guess is that all raw organ meats and fat are good for this as they do to cause inflammation but I抦 desperate to do what I can to promote healing as it my tooth frankly hurts at times and a root canal is not my idea of fun!
Thanks in advance for your response.

AnswerMost raw organ-meats will help the healing process indirectly, due to the high levels of nutrients in them. However, given your current problems with your tooth, I would imagine that the tougher organ-meats like tongue or heart would not be a good idea, at this stage. I'd suggest you use raw marrow, in particular - it's soft and can just be bolted down rather than chewing, and most people I've talked to view it as a superior type of healing fat. Also, this is one of the few circumstances where I'd recommend the use of a food-processor to grind meats/organ-meats into tiny pieces so that you can bolt them down without using the teeth too much.
At any rate, I definitely don't recommend eating throughout the day - perhaps just one main meal? One of the problems with AV's Primal Diet is the excessive-eating - IMO, I reckon that the times when our bodies do the most healing is when we're asleep and when we're not digesting food - digestion diverts a lot of energy from the body that can be otherwise used for healing.
