Questionokay i weight about 120 and i would like to loose 15 pounds in about two weeks?me and my freind are going to the beach an dwere trying slim-fast and these green tea diet pills so is there anything else to do exsept exersise?
Answer1st realize that 3500 calories = 1 pound, so you need to consume 3500 calories LESS each day for 14 days SAFEly. 2nd water is a great way for your body to flush out what it doesn't want or need. Not tea, not soda, not diet anything, just plain ole water. 3rd do your best to lessen your carbohydrate & fat intake, but not eliminate anything altogether. You still need FATs & CARBohydrates to lose weight. Both of these are used in the processes our body goes thru to fuel each cell, so while you are trying to store less, you must still give your body what it needs on a regular basis. That is where the word BALANCED comes in. I would suggest increasing your protein intake, but that is me.
If you do anything in excess, even the water, your body will fight what you have done with a Vengeance and you will 1-regain all the weight & more; 2-lose all your energy; 3-possibly get wrinkles or lines where you never thought you would get them; 4-stand a great chance to spend your 'beach time' in a hospital bed. OK so much for the warnings!
If you exercise, go back to the 3500 calorie factor. Your body needs food to let you do exercise, yet you'll want to do 3500 calories PLUS a smidgen worth of WORK. I would suggest sipping water during your exercise, because you'll lose water - its a fact!
A note on Slim-Fast, it is LOADed with sugar also known as CARBs am enemy at this point in your efforts. If you want to drink anything special/trendy/tasty consider the "Special K" drink the contains a small amount of protein. Please do not limit yourself to Slim-Fast as your only food. Start each day with some form of breakfast, a half piece of toast - no butter - even if you don't eat much else the remainder of the day - lose weight SMARTly. If you give body enough energy to "start your engines" your stepped up metabolism will stay pumped up and help you lose the weight you want.
Don't forget the sodium and potassium - Gatorade - especially the LOW SUGAR drinks are great for this. If you do not take in these minerals, you WILL find yourself in an EMERGENCY room - I know - I've done it. A multi-vitamin, even just a child's vitamin is usually enough.
Also avoid purging yourself - WHY? because when you empty your stomach of food, you also loose so many other nutrients - in odd amounts - and it is that loss of ESSENTIAL minerals and a few vitamins that can KILL!
I hope that all of this is read and re-read as you revise your efforts. The final comment is you CAN lose the weight you want and keep it off, if you don't do it all at once. I'd finish with Good Luck, but you won't need luck if you chase your goal with intelligence.
