QuestionHi! For the busy raw athlete/college student/art model, what would be your recommendations as far as number of meals consumed per day? Should I be eating 4-5 smaller meals (What I've always done, but a little hard right now), or do you think it's good/healthier/more practical to eat 2 or 3 larger ones? I usually do lots of fresh raw goats dairy, 2-5 raw eggs a day, and sashimi a couple times a week and big salads every day, just to give you a summary of my raw diet style.
AnswerThe usual conventional recommendation for serious athletes/weightlifters is to eat lots of small meals a day(re carb-loading etc.). In my own case, I prefer an Intermittent-Fasting(called "IF":-

routine for various health-reasons, as I became rather fatigued when eating Aajonus' recommended frequent small meals every day - IF, in my case, means eating only one large meal a day, within a 4-hour period(usually much less than 4), and the meal's usually eaten in the evenings. I should make clear, though, that I can make no definite claims re IF being better(or worse, for that matter), as regards exercise.
All I can say, though, from a practical stand-point, is that IF made it much, much easier for me to follow a raw-animal-food diet. I can now go throughout the day without eating and then just come home, eat a quick meal, and dart off again to the local pub, and just drink mineral-water, there. When I ate throughout the day, in the past, the only foods I could bring with me to work were things like raw heather honeycomb or fruit, as bringing raw liver/raw marrow etc. to work was obviously quite out of the question, making things difficult for me. (Incidentally, I don't recommend starting on just one meal a day, though, as some people find it difficult to adjust to the one meal-a-day routine - try 2 big meals a day, instead).
