QuestionHi, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me on this:
I am 5'2 and 1/2 inches, and 116 pounds.
Since December 2007, I have been on a weight loss diet and have gone from 10 st 1 to 8st 4. I would still like to lose at least another 7 pounds however lately I've been finding this extremely difficult as I know the most effective weight loss comes from a change in diet as well as exercise. I've become paranoid about what I eat however, counting calories and feeling like a failure if I see I've eaten nearly 1000 in one day, for example. Right now, I am on around 700-800. With exercise, I used to be able to use a stationary bike for 30 minutes and then run for 15-20, or run for 30 minutes and use the bike for 15-20 minutes. Now however, 30 minutes of exercise wears me out leaving me feel weak, and I just don't feel like I have the energy to exercise anymore. This problem in my endurance has maintained for about 2 weeks now. My weight has not shifted either. Please help!
AnswerMia,
First of all, you should figure out your body composition and it can be that for your hight and built, your body doesn't need to lose any more pounds. Also, you are on a very low calorie diet and seem to be slipping into the starvation mode, this is why your body resists.
To figure out your body composition, try any online calculator based on the circumference method, you don't need to buy any gadget for that. After you do that, you might want to follow up this question and we'll discuss the problem basing on your results.
