Owerweight or body image problem?

Question
Hi tanya,
Im 18 years old and recently gratuated highschhol. In the beginning of the school year i weighed my normal weight of 107-111 lbs with my height of 5'3. through out the year i began eating very badly and gained twenty pounds. I feel very depressed and fat. this is the heavist i have ever been. My bmi now is 22.8, though it is within the healthy weight range, i consider my self heavy.
My question is that if i consume 1000-1200 calories a day, and continue to excercise for an hour on the treadmill @  speed of 3.8-4.2, and do pilates and such, will i be able to lose 20 lbs and go back to my normal weight? I just really want to be my original size again!!!

Answer
Hi Zara,

If you continue exercising and stop eating wrong food, your body composition will improve even though your BMI can remail the same - but do not cut down on calories!

I hope you'll understand that I can not give you advice that would harm your health and losing weight beyond healthy limits will definitely do you harm.

Rather than that, you might want to learn more about body image and how to improve it without losing weight. Read more:
