QuestionIt is generally accepted that an alkaline diet(ideally 80% alkaline,20% acidic)is a prerequisite for a healthy and strong immune system, provided of course that it is comprised of a combination of wholesome, raw and nourishing alkaline and acidic foods.
It is also suggested (Dr Sears) that a diet that focuses almost exclusively on the richest arachidonic acid containing foods( liver kidneys and other offal including(or as in your case excluding) egg yolks can be very unbalancing.
Even though raw foods tend to be slightly less acidic than when they are cooked the diet that you suggest despite all the other advantages, by deliberately excluding vegetable juices as well as almost anything that might be alkaline forming, would inevitably lead one to expect it to progressively lead to severe acidosis. I happen to suffer from rather severe osteoporosis and regularly measure my urine and saliva PH and have noticed that shortly after consuming such foods both my urine and saliva PH will fall to below 5.5 this lasting for several hours after the digestion is over.
Have you ever thought that the problems that you noticed with your teeth might be related to this?(Ever had a bone scan for osteoporosis? You don't always necessarily have to have any alarming symptoms so to notice).
I would appreciate if you could be so kind to comments on those two issues as they are of serious concern to me regarding this diet.
AnswerIn my own case, the reason for my teeth almost falling out was soley due to the consumption of dairy, over decades - it had nothing to do with the consumption of animal foods in general. As soon as I cut out all dairy, after quitting the Primal diet and going rawpalaeo, my teeth then improved, over months, to the point where they've been exceptionally strong for a long time. So I know I have nothing to worry about re the issue of osteoporosis.
As regards the acidity of raw meats, I ought to make clear that raw meats are a lot less acidic than many kinds of cooked, processed foods - indeed, generally speaking, the more a food is processed, the more highly acidic it will become(this benefits the manufacturers as the acidity kills bacteria).
The whole notion of the acid-/alkali balance is wrongheaded. 1 point made by its detractors is that blood, for example, is always rigidly kept within a tiny PH-range, regardless of what one eats.

Another consideration is that some RPDers, one of them a raw, zero-carber, report doing tests on their body and finding that they were actually more alkaline on their diet than on previous vegetarian/vegan diets where they were more acidic.
(Oh, I should add that I do include some alkali-forming fruits, though they are a minor part of my diet, compared to raw meats).
