QuestionHi..I am attempting to lose 60 pounds (at least) for now..before the end of summer. I know it is achievable, but for some reason, I still have a problem with sweets. I have such a sweet tooth when it comes to chocolate especially and some other 'carbs' that aren't good. I do like alot of veggies and fruit and I try to replace my sweet tooth with fruit and/or yogurt, but it just doesn't do the trick sometimes. Also, I feel hungry even if I have had alot of fiber related cereals and/or veggies. I try to walk about 2 or so miles a day at about 3mph..I haven't gone now for about 2 weeks because of illness (not related to diet etc) but I need some ideas on how I can lose about 60-70 pounds before the end of summer. Also to give me some high fiber related foods that would make me feel fuller longer. I think you know what I am saying so I would appreciate any help you can give me.
I am 5'6" and weigh about 215 pounds. Most people say I 'don't look it'...but I know I do for I have seen pictures of me and am totally disgusted. most of my weight is in my legs and belly/waist area.
Thanks in advance for your help.

AnswerCindy,
First thing I have to say, is that it will take longer than 5 months to lose 60 pounds. To lose 70 pounds will take over a year, to do it a healthy way. Think of how long it took for the weight to come on, we cannot expect it to come off overnight. I had to stress this fact first as this is where many people can really struggle in weight loss, they are not patient enough with their bodies. Are you willing to go the long haul, even if it means you won't be 150 pounds until NEXT summer?
Can you please give me a breakdown of what (and when) you eat on an average day? Are you able to introduce more activity, this can speed up your weight loss doubly?
Thanks,
Lea
