AnswerDear Ashu,
I am afraid I cannot find a question in your Question. You have given me a plea for help, but very little else to go on. Helping you out can only begin after you have sorted out what kind of help you need.
You cannot expect any help, however, regards losing weight if you think there is a weight-loss programme out there that can work without sufficient exercise. With the kind of weight-loss you want to achieve it is generally about eating 10% less, exercising 50% more and changing 40% of what you are eating. If this sort of adds up to giving it 100%of a go!....
Perhaps, the best thing I can do for you is help you find some useful questions. After all, any extra luggage you are carrying, you have packed on yourself, and the only person who can unpack it is you: by this I mean you need to obtain the right attitude for diet, before anything will ever change. Changing what you eat is a manifestation of taking a new approach to life. As long as you think in numbers and physical facts you will never feel comfortable in your skin. Right weight (which varies per person, even if they share the same height and body type) is all about finding the right balance.
So how is your overall health?
Have you any specific cravings? For fatty or sugary foods?
Do you eat plenty of fresh foods?
Are you chosing fibre-rich and wholemeal products?
Do you drink alcohol or sodas?
Do you know where the calories are coming from?
Do you know where the calories are going to?
If the body is what you eat, are you creating a temple or a tip?
What percentage of your body is fat and what is muscle? Are your organs fatty? Is your skin oily? Is your hair in good condition? Are your bowel movements regular? Have you got bad body odor?
Are your moods equinanimous? Have you found a balance between emotion and reason? Is your passion tempered, and your compassion warm?
Such questions put to yourself with serious reflection will begin to lift the veil for you. What is really causing your over weight? Once you see this, you can begin to make constructive and lasting changes. This is working from the inside out. All other paths may, possibly, lead to short term success (watch out for yo-yo diets and supplements which slowly make your system degenerate).
Diet is a way of life.
Through eating (breathing and our senses) we are in touch with our environment. Any disorders related to eating (such is overweight) shows us that we have grown out of touch and lost mastery over our own destiny. The body may or may not suffer from this. The person you are may or may not become unhappy for it. But the soul-spirit you are laments deeply for the retardation of its development ignorance and inertia causes.
Maybe the underlying question that jumps out loudest to me is one that is asking you to find a tiny moment in time (get up early, take a lunch break in the park) that does not belong to your tight schedule and ask yourself, considering the bigger picture of life and death, what it is you really want to achieve. If it is merely money and success, a comfortable life or security, reputation or respect then, I am afraid, imbalances such as over-weight, shall follow you all the days of your life.
If you ever want to run more specific dietary changes by me, feel free to do so. But try to ask specific questions. I don't mind how many. I know it may seem daunting and scary, but first you need to begin to look at where you are going wrong right now.
All the very best in the quest for your true self.
Evelyn.
