QuestionHi There,
I typically eat raw milk, yogurt and butter and currently have fresh sources. I've also just had a molar extraction, so have a large open wound in my mouth.
Would you advise that I lay off the raw until the wound heals? What are the risks of adding infection with the raw dairy?
Advice Appreciated.
Thanks
AnswerRaw dairy was heavily implicated in the high incidence of tuberculosis at the turn of the century. It is particularly advisable to avoid grainfed dairy as, since dairy is such a vehicle for infection, milk from an unhealthy grainfed cow is bound to be an issue.
I would strongly advise you to cut out the raw dairy permanently from your diet. You see, a large number of raw-animal-foodists have noted that cutting out dairy actually improved their dental health. I'm just 1 example among many. My own teeth were incredibly loose, with gums bleeding all the time,, until I managed to get rid of the dairy, finally, after which my teeth became very strong. The whole notion of needing calcium is a myth as one actually needs much less of that element. Ingesting dairy, however raw, on the other hand, can cause things like magnesium-deficiency, which harms the teeth, among many other parts of the body.
