QuestionHello i wanted to ask your views on raw goat yogurt, for example getting raw goat milk since apparently its the milk most similar to human milk and then letting it out on room temperature to ferment and become like yogurt, i know diary is not paleo, goat milk is apparently easy to digest it can provide some raw protein, fat, cholesterol for people not used to eating raw meat. Also what are your views on supermarket heavy cream and beef dripping, are they any good for getting your fat?
Thank you for your time
AnswerI wouldn't recommend buying meats/fats from supermarkets. Supermarkets are there to make money and will always prefer selling low quality meats. It's far better to either buy direct from a grassfed meat farm or from a farmers' market(or a health-food store if in the US).
I understand your position re dairy. Many newbies have initial issues with the taste of raw meats and it generally takes c.8 to 12 months on a mostly-raw diet before one starts enjoying the taste of raw animal food. That said, dairy is one of the biggest health issues for many RVAFers, causing multiple side-effects due to the deleterious nature of the hormones in the raw dairy, the negative effect on teeth etc.Goat milk is better than cows' milk(I believe it has less lactose) but it's still problematic. If you decided to go for it, keep gaot-milk consumption to a minimum and get rid of it as you get used to the taste of raw meats.
My suggestion would be 1 of the following methods:-
1) Mix the raw meats in a food-mixer or blender and add some raw spices/sauces to the mixture.
2)Visit numerous markets and buy very small amounts of as many dozens of exotic meats as you can find(eg:- goatmeat, sharkmeat, mackerel, sardines, wild venison etc.). Initially, you'll find that you don't like most of them, but you should probably like c.5-10% of the ones you select. Eat the foods you like, with them forming c.90% of the raw animal food in your diet, and have 10% of the raw animal foods you eat consisting of raw meats you don't like. Eventually, over months, you'll find that the raw meats you initially disliked will (mostly) become more palatable as your taste-change to raw occurs(don't assume you'll like all raw animal foods - for example, even to this day, I still hate the taste of raw chicken for some reason).
3) Cook your meats and add sauces but gradually lower the cooking temperature by 1 degree every so often, and reduce the sauces(or replace the processed sauces with raw ones) until eventually you'll be able to enjoy eating raw meats at room-temperature.
